APIII is an annual conference designed for physicians, researchers, residents and graduate students interested in how informatics and imaging is transforming pathology and oncology. Industry-related developers, engineers, and marketing representatives also comprise a significant portion of the attendees. Prior knowledge of informatics is not required and courses are offered for individuals new to this field. In addition to the traditional focus on pathology informatics and imaging, a theme of this year's conference will be the similarity and possible integration of pathology and radiology informatics.
Apollo PACS will be attending and demonstrating the latest in Pathology Lab Automation with PathPACS, the leading Pathology Picture Archiving and Communication System. Apollo will also feature advancements in digital pathology by demonstrating the PathPACS Web application which enables high-resolution digital pathology images to be viewed with a normal web browser integrating with lab workflow.
